To the Needle Phobia Community,
We want to acknowledge that we have received concerns and questions regarding our web address, endneedlephobia.org. Some people feel that this emphasizes placing responsibility on individuals (i.e., their phobia should end) rather than advocating for appropriate accommodations and supports. Our intention was to communicate that we want needle phobia, as a whole, to “end” through prevention, accommodations, education, and healing. However, we understand the concerns that have been raised, and this web address will not be our permanent home.
We are hoping to use needlephobia.org, but due to a similar domain name being in use, we are waiting to consult with an attorney before making this change. If we are not able to use needlephobia.org, we will pick a different alternative.
